Joe Michels is an actuary with the Milwaukee office of Milliman. He joined the firm in January 2021.
Experience
Joe’s areas of expertise include mortgage servicing analytics, credit risk consulting, and mortgage insurance. He has experience working on projects for mortgage lenders, mortgage insurers, property and casualty insurers/reinsurers, and government agencies.
Joe also has expertise in estimating loss reserves for latent claim exposures such as Federal Black Lung and PFAS. He has developed predictive and financial models to forecast these losses.
