The Retirement Income Security Evaluation

What is the RISE Score and what does it do?

Just as a credit score is a measure of an individual’s credit worthiness, the RISE Score is designed to be a measure of an individual’s retirement readiness.

Each individual’s RISE Score is generated by analyzing their specific financial profile, taking into account their demographic information, current savings, projected retirement expenses, and expected sources of retirement income. These are all analyzed across a range of scenarios against risks that all retirees face, including market risk, inflation risk, and longevity risk.

As an assessment tool, the RISE Score offers numerous potential applications to the broader community of retirement planners and investors. Whether for consumers and financial advisers or DC plan participants and sponsors, the RISE Score provides an intuitive and easy-to-use way to quickly determine potential gaps in retirement income and gauge retirement readiness.
