Milliman Advanced Risk Adjusters (MARA)™ is a platform-independent software product that fuels population health analytics and helps customers implement financial decisions, payment arrangements, and care support programs with confidence.

A more transparent risk scoring by health service category invigorates analytics and fuels applications that require greater insight. With MARA, risk scores are more granular, demonstrating the influence of health issues on plan design, service delivery, benefit utilization, provider risk burden, and segmentation for efficient case selection.

MARA models led the competition in performance in the 2016 study by the Society of Actuaries, “Accuracy of Claims-Based Risk Scoring Models.” achieving the highest overall performance among concurrent models, beating out eleven other vendors. MARA’s prospective models scored similarly well, ranking at or near the top in all four primary metrics measured.
